Managing Director at LuCreative, Connor Hodgson recently read an article on businessinsider.com about Thomas C. Corley’s rich habits. Corley spent five years researching the daily practices of 177 self-made millionaires and found there were a specific set of habits shared by them all.
Mr Hodgson is committed to developing aspiring entrepreneurs, offering the firm’s workforce the chance to learn, grow and develop. The entrepreneur frequently hosts educational and motivational workshops and seminars and this past week the business owner held a workshop revealing the traits of self-made millionaires.
1/ They Wake Up Early
Corley’s study revealed that almost 50% of self-made millionaire’s wake up three hours before beginning their workday. Waking up early is common among successful people, with many entrepreneurs starting their day at 5 a.m. “Everyone has the same 1440 minutes in a day, it’s how they chose to maximise those minutes that will determine success,” commented Mr Hodgson.
2/ They Exercise
Corley’s study found that 64% of self-made millionaire’s exercised at least 30 minutes every day. Exercise is proven to have many benefits, significantly the release of endorphins which trigger a positive feeling in the body which is good for mental health. Mr Hodgson supports the theory of healthy body, healthy mind.
3/ They Hang Out With Other Successful People
American entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker, Jim Rohn once famously said, “You become like the five people you spend the most time with, choose carefully.” In his study, Corley writes. “The rich are always on the lookout for individuals who are goal-oriented, optimistic, enthusiastic, and who have an overall positive mental outlook.” At LuCreative they encourage their workforce to build a diverse and robust network of individuals to assist them on their journey to success.
4/ They Read Consistently
Corley writes, “Eighty-eight percent of the rich devote thirty minutes or more each day to self-education or self-improvement reading.” LuCreative believe that continued development is the secret to success and that reading is a tremendous source of knowledge. Corley found that self-made millionaire’s commonly read three types of books: biographies of successful people, self-help or personal development, and history.
